Marble Cake




Ingredients: -

Eggs = 4
Powdered Sugar = 1 cup
Vanilla or Chocolate essence = 1 teaspoon
Oil (Vegetable or any cooking oil except olive oil) = 1 cup
Milk = 1 cup
Baking Flour = 2 cups
Baking Powder = 2 teaspoons
Coco Powder = 3/4 cup

Preparation Process: -

Beat eggs in a bowl till they start turning into creamy consistency. Add sugar and essence and beat for a while. Add milk and oil in the egg mixture and beat again. In a separate bowl, sift baking flour and baking powder together. Add this mixture into that of eggs spoon by spoon and beat at the lowest speed of beater. When done then pour quarter of the prepared mixture into the other bowl and add coco powder in it. Now you will be having two mixtures i.e. vanilla and chocolate.

Take round shaped 9 inch baking pan, grease it with butter and line it with butter paper. Pour vanilla mixture first and then pour chocolate mixture over it in the centre. Take a tooth pick and draw line horizontally and vertically by spreading the chocolate mixture with that of vanilla. When done then bake the mixture at 200 centigrade for 25 minutes and enjoy the delicious zebra cake with coffee or tea. 

Sponge Cake (without butter)


Ingredients: -

1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
Vanilla essence

Preparation Process: -

Beat egg whites till they get stiff. Beat egg yolks in a separate bowl with sugar. Add vanilla essence and beaten egg whites in the egg yolks mixture. Sift flour and baking powder together and add in the egg mixture spoon by spoon but do not beat the mixture rather mix it with spatula lightly.
Grease the 9 inches pan with butter and line it with butter paper. Pour the mixture and bake it in preheated oven at 200 degress centigrade for 20 to 30 minutes. 

Sponge Cake (with butter)




Ingredients: -

250 grams or 11/2 cup softened butter
Egg whites of four eggs
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Preparation Process: -

Beat butter till it gets soft and creamy. Add sugar and essence in it and keep on beating. Beat Egg whites in a separate bowl till they get stiff. Add them in the butter mixture. Sift the flour and baking powder together and add in the butter mixture spoon by spoon and beat slowly.


Grease the 9 inches pan with butter and line it with butter paper. Pour the mixture and bake it in preheated oven at 200 degress centigrade for 20 to 30 minutes. 

Plain Chocolate Cake


This can be made by using the same recipe of butter cake and just adding the coco powder in it. However, I also make by using the other recipe which is as following;

Ingredients: -

4 eggs
1 cup oil
1 cup milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon chocolate / vanilla essence
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 coco powder

Preparation Process: -

Beat eggs till they turn into creamy form. Keep on adding sugar, essence, oil and milk one by one and beating the mixture. Sift flour, baking powder and coco powder together and add it into the egg mixture spoon by spoon and beat on the slow speed.

Grease the 9 inches pan with butter and line it with butter paper. Pour the mixture and bake it in preheated oven at 200 degress centigrade for 20 to 30 minutes. 

Plain Butter Cake


Ingredients:-

Eggs = 2
Butter (softened) = 100 grams
Powdered Sugar = 1/2 cup
Milk = 1/2 cup
Flour = 1 cup
Baking Powder = 1 teaspoon
Vanilla Essence = 1 teaspoon

Preparation Process: -

Beat the butter till it turn to creamy consistency. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla essence and milk one after another and keep on beating the mixture. Sift flour and baking powder together and add into the egg mixture spoon by spoon and beat on the lowest speed of the beater. 

Grease the 9 inches pan with butter, line it with the butter paper and pour mixture in it. Bake at 200 degrees centigrade in the pre-heated oven for 20 to 30 minutes. 

Zebra Cake


Ingredients: -

Eggs = 4
Powdered Sugar = 1 cup
Vanilla or Chocolate essence = 1 teaspoon
Oil (Vegetable or any cooking oil except olive oil) = 1 cup
Milk = 1 cup
Baking Flour = 2 cups
Baking Powder = 2 teaspoons
Coco Powder = 3/4 cup

Preparation Process: -

Beat eggs in a bowl till they start turning into creamy consistency. Add sugar and essence and beat for a while. Add milk and oil in the egg mixture and beat again. In a separate bowl, sift baking flour and baking powder together. Add this mixture into that of eggs spoon by spoon and beat at the lowest speed of beater. When done then pour half of the prepared mixture into the other bowl and add coco powder in it. Now you will be having two mixtures i.e. vanilla and chocolate.

Take round shaped 9 inch baking pan, grease it with butter and line it with butter paper. Take 1/4 cup of the vanilla mixture and pour it in the centre of the pan. It will spread itself so do not wait for it to spread or shake the pan either. Then take the 1/4 cup of chocolate mixture and pour it in the centre of vanilla mixture. Keep on pouring the two mixtures alternatively in their centres. When done then bake the mixture at 200 centigrade for 25 minutes and enjoy the delicious zebra cake with coffee or tea.
